Marty JoE Barnes

IMG_0702Marty JoE Barnes is a third generation musician. She is a 14 year old, eighth grade student from Douglasville, Georgia. Her career began at the age of 8, where she sang the National Anthem for 1,500 people for a regional rodeo event. With Marty JoE’s pure voice, she sang regularly with the church Praise Band. Today she sings regularly in eight churches in Douglas and Carroll counties in Georgia. She now has over 2,000 fans in these combined church congregations plus many other fans, worldwide. In December. 2014, she released her first original single “That’s When You Know It’s Christmas” on ReverbNation. This song went to first place locally and third place nationally in the Christian Rock category and twice earned the “Featured Artist” position on ReverbNation. This song was written by Nashville song writer, Mark Lyle. The overwhelming success of this song gave her an international appeal and thus a global fan base in over 45 countries, Marty JoE wrote and released her first original single “Miles ‘Til Tomorrow’ and released it on her fourteenth birthday in June 2015. Marty JoE wrote the lyrics, sang all vocals and played lead guitar. She also wrote the music with teen cowriter, Daniel Munday, keyboard. Marty JoE sings vocals. ukulele and lead or rhythm guitar for Missing Peace Additional singles are planned on a quarterly basis.
